Having a Ball with First Stage

On Saturday March 3, 2018, families “eased on down the road” to First Stage’s 24^th Annual Make Believe Ball. Celebrating our recent production of THE WIZ, families enjoyed children’s activities, a live and silent auction, a gourmet dinner, music and dancing. 

First Stage's 24th Annual Make Believe Ball in Numbers:

This year’s event broke our fundraising record, and raised more than $184,000—making it possible for First Stage to continue transforming lives through theater.

Thank you to all of the families that celebrated with us, our generous sponsors and donors, our 2018 Ball Co-Chairs Mary and Alex Kramer (and their children Henry and Shirley), and to our Ball Committee for making it a wizardly good time for all.

During the run of THE WIZ, First Stage asked audiences to share what "home" meant to them.
Audiences wrote their inspirations on the petals of the sunflowers decorating the theater lobby.
