From The Director Matt Daniels: ELEPHANT & PIGGIE'S We are in a Play

6:09 PM

"Gerald is careful. Piggie is not.
Piggie cannot help smiling. Gerald can.
Gerald worries so that Piggie does not have to.
Gerald and Piggie are best friends."
This is the prologue to every one of Mo Willems' fantastic books about ELEPHANT & PIGGIE. This friendship is both silly and sweet, and has its ups and downs, full of times of calm and times of chaos. But through all of their adventures, whether going to a party, learning to play an instrument, or just sharing an ice cream cone, Gerald and Piggie always have each other. And now that these books have been adapted into a musical, we get to experience this truest friendship with the delight of song and dance, up close and personal. Maybe we’ll even make new friends along the way.

Matt Daniels, Director
It doesn't matter where you are going, what toys you play with, or what clothes you wear, so long as you are sharing it all with your friend. Friends pick us up when we are low, give us joy when we are sad, and help us when we are overwhelmed. Friends come in all shapes and sizes. They may even be your complete opposite! But if you like spending time together, anything is possible in the company of your friend.
