Welcome to the First Stage Blog

Posted by Jeff Frank, Artistic Director

Welcome to the first posting on the First Stage Children’s Theater blog! Part of First Stage’s mission is to touch hearts and transform lives by creating exceptional theater experiences for young people and families through professional theater productions that engage, enlighten and entertain.

That’s what we hope to achieve with this blog: to engage, enlighten and entertain through thought-provoking stories from the artists and staff at First Stage that will include a behind-the-scenes look at each of our productions.

It is our hope this blog will initiate conversations between our audience and the artists. Naturally, each person has a unique interpretation of each production. We encourage and value your opinions and your comments so we can continue to provide your family with exceptional theater experiences.

Here’s what you can expect from the blog: a few times a week, a member of the First Stage staff or one of the artists involved in a production will publish a blog post. You can post your comments by simply clicking on the “post comment” link. Since we are a family organization, we will remove any comments that contain inappropriate content.

As we begin this new endeavor we want to thank you for sharing First Stage Children’s Theater with your families and we hope this blog will continue that dialogue about our productions with your family long after the curtain call.
