Providing Access to Arts Education

Thanks to the generous support of the United Performing Arts Fund’s Kasey’s Fund, First Stage is able to provide our on-demand, virtual School Membership Package workshops for free this year.

Created with the understanding that schools need support and flexibility in this uncertain time, First Stage’s School Membership Package provides educators on-demand access to our arts-integrated and standards-based programming. All workshops actively engage students in the learning process and include supplementary materials for lesson extensions.

 

First Stage piloted a nomination process in order to strategically select schools with the most need and greatest potential of a successful partnership. More than eighty nominations were submitted by parents, educators, school staff, and other community members.

 

First Stage selected 18 elementary schools to receive our virtual School Membership Package. Additionally, six middle schools were selected to receive access to one of our virtual Theater Productions at a highly-subsidized rate.
